H-11
The chromium-molybdenum-vanadium alloyed steel known as H-11 (Hot Die Steel) was created especially for high-temperature die usage. It is perfect for hot forging, extrusion dies, and die-casting molds because it provides exceptional toughness, thermal fatigue resistance, and hardness retention at high temperatures. Long tool life under repeated mechanical and thermal stress is guaranteed by H-11's exceptional hardenability and wear resistance. The ideal ratio of hardness to ductility can be achieved by heat-treating it to 50–55 HRC. In the annealed state, it also shows good machinability and polishability, enabling accurate finishing. For tools that need to be strong, durable, and dimensionally stable under heat, H-11 is frequently utilized in the automotive, aerospace, and general engineering sectors.
