H-13 (Hot Die Steel) is an alloyed steel made of chromium, molybdenum, and vanadium that is intended for use at high temperatures. It is perfect for hot work tooling because of its remarkable toughness, resistance to thermal fatigue, and dimensional stability. H-13 can tolerate repeated heat cycling in die casting, extrusion, and forging operations due to its good hardenability and exceptional resistance to wear, softening, and cracking. At high temperatures, its homogeneous hardness and strong heat conductivity guarantee accurate metal shaping. H-13 is frequently utilized in extrusion tooling, dies, punches, and molds where high strength at high temperatures is essential. It can be heat-treated to maximize wear resistance, toughness, and hardness, giving it a long service life in demanding industrial applications.
